Over the past 13 years working in Corporate, Non-profit, Consulting, Development Bank, and entrepreneurial settings, and I know what it’s like to feel like you’ve accomplished so much yet feel unfocused, stressed, emotional and chronically anxious, and wondering how to improve my leadership skills to inspire a team and make a greater positive impact.
Over that time, I nearly burned-out multiple times, and watched many colleagues – people inherently motivated to make an impact – burn out.
They were forced to take sick leave only to come back months later at half of their capacity and potential. I managed to avoid this outcome using the power of yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and coaching to build self-awareness, resilience to stress and change, and overcome limiting behavioral patterns.
Yet watching my impact-driven colleagues burning out at a dramatic rate made me realize two things.
Firstly, the way organizations are run is fundamentally broken, sacrificing their employees’ wellbeing, when that is the key engine to a positive impact and the bottom line.
The second thing I realized was that impact-driven professionals need support early and consistently in their careers to build their resilience and leadership in the context of rapid global change -- before they burnout and before they’re in a leadership role.
I believe that when people are mission-aligned, resilient, and creating a workplace focused on wellbeing and growth, we can make a profound impact in the global challenges we face today, like climate change and inequality.
This is why I created the Impact Leader Tribe experience – a new type of Leadership Journey that focuses on practical tools, results, and evolves with you.
Instead of another training or leadership program where you learn theory and don’t actually integrate it into your work or life, the Impact Leader Tribe uses an approach built on practical evidence-based tools, time to implement, and with a global community of passionate professionals to mentor and co-elevate each other.
